Impact 2025

EcoCounts marked its fourth year in 2025 with a year of consolidation, deeper community engagement, and stronger organisational foundations. Approximately 40 participants recorded their carbon footprints in the 2025 cohort, with 2024 data showing the group’s mean footprint at 5,171 kg CO₂e, 25% below the London average of 6,890 kg, with home energy showing the largest reduction at 30% below average. Eight events were held across two venues, reaching over 100 people, and a summer eco fair attracted up to 50 new contacts. Twenty-seven EcoTips and articles were published. A volunteer team of approximately 25 people, spanning fundraising, communications, carbon data, facilitation, and design, grew significantly during the year. New academic partnerships began with UCL, and app development progressed through design and prototyping. Governance structures were strengthened and a new fundraising team established. The EcoCore Manifesto 2026 and direct engagement with local politicians are imminent priorities for the year ahead.
