Hi everyone,
With a new team of writers in the house, we are aiming to start releasing this newsletter every Thursday from now on so that you can be in the loop on what’s going on and how you can help the EcoCounts mission!
EcoCounts is a grassroots, community-facing organisation that aims to help everyone reduce their carbon footprint in a way that feels easily integrated into their everyday lives. Climate change is here, and it can feel scary. But we believe that by coming together as a community, we can support and encourage each other to make sustainable choices that fit into our everyday lives. Together, we hope to make a real difference for everyone.
WHAT’S ON
Last Saturday, our third Mystery Eco-Screening had a fantastic turnout for our double feature of Bolivia Burning: Inside a Latin American Ecocide and ACTionism.
The films were a powerful watch and allowed for a fantastic discussion afterwards about ecosystems, human influence and connection.
We have three free Mystery Eco-Screenings still to come. Join us for more powerful films, great conversation and delicious popcorn.
Screenings are free, running every Saturday until the 5th of September. Book your tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ecocounts-mystery-film-screenings-tickets-1994099733984
Another date for your diaries: Monday evening, Sept 14th will be a marketing workshop to help us nail down our unique public voice and style. Come along if you want to have your say or pitch in with the marketing plan!

WHAT WE NEED
We are in the process of developing an app that would allow everyone to easily find out more about their current carbon footprint and how to reduce it. If you are into coding or know anyone else who would love to further develop their skill, please do get in contact!
As the end of our summer film programme comes to a close, we are currently preparing the next round of events to kick-start the Autumn at EcoCounts. Do you have any special skills or interests that you would like to share with a group of like-minded people? Get in touch with our events coordinator, Joana, to find out how you can help! Just reply to this email.
